Chicken Painting Advice

Last night we were watching PBS,and this segment came on about this art festival in NC.
This fellow was showing his work and was asked how he got inspired to do it.
So with a strong North Carolina drawl he says
" My friend was talking to me one day and he said--Earnest you need to paint yourself some chickens..."
And so he did.
That was a dang funny response.Steff and I began laughing ourselves silly .
It was a very simplistic painting, I don't know if he ever sold it .
It wasn't my taste in art .
Still we wish him many sales....

It's funny how some simple works can have two different meanings.....when I was a teen my friends mom use to always say "Going by Judy's house".....meaning going over to my house.....and if you heard it you would think they are just driving by......but I know this has nothing to do with what that guy said...lol did he tell him to paint the chickens, as a relaxing point, or just cause he thought he liked chickens.....silly me......
