Pool Tiles Are Fixed !
Watching %$#@&*^ Paint Dry
Seems some incompetent fool at Sherwin Williams gave us the wrong formulation in June .
So we get the manager this am( after going there yesterday afternoon only to be told their paint matching computer was down), and he says
"Ah ha, this is the problem.
Let me mix this , take this home & test it and then maybe we won't have to analyze each wall chip you brought , make the formula then dry it here to see if it matches your chip." ( to which he would have several hours more work).
So we were watching paint dry for the past 2 hours.
I mean we ain't got nothing better to do.
1)The front door handleset needs replaced ( and it's so much more complicated than we realized.)
2) The porch needs painted ( this we find out last weekend), I mean yeah it looked like some more hound dogs and a car up on blocks would finish the ambiance , but we did powerwash it yanno.
And we bought it like that .
3) It 's fricking hot, and intermittently monsooning .
4) Rust stains on the pool side walkway need attending, I have to make a special paste and scrub .
5) It's freaking hot, yada, yada, yada
6)Kitchen cupboards facings need wiped down , kitchen floor needs steamed , plus all other tile flooring downstairs.
7) Silestone backsplash & kitchen sink need recaulking in the correct color ( which I had special ordered and it came in last week ). Sink will be out of commission for 2 frickin days after the plumbers leave .
* Whirling dervish emoticon right here*
All this and we're watching paint dry.
Anyway the paint matches (hurrah, the great spark plug isn't totally cheesed off at us and thwarting us at every turn with Murphy's Law as a devious cohort), but the manager who makes the paint is still AT LUNCH.
He's gotta mix 4 other colors,
but he'd have to be at work first !
It's coming up on school time and rush hour traffic.

Fixing this house up
and getting it ready to list in 9 days.
Something I never expected to have to deal with was the real estate agent's idea to paint/stain the porch.
Good grief, we bought it like this.Ok, so we were duped....but we already knew that .
Three kids , a great dane and a doxie use to live here.

My mother has a colossal mess ,
and I can only say that growing up she never had piles like that .

He Never Came Home
An atypically cool July morning in Maryland four years ago ,Tom was leaving for work and I got up for him for his regularily scheduled send off, hot tea ,breakfast , freshly made bag lunch plus hugs and kisses .
Just before I went back to bed ( I was working a later night shift and usually went back to bed after he left for another 2 or 3 hours), he was sitting on our couch in the livingroom finishing his breakfast and watched me go back to the bedroom.
Maybe that was goodbye.
I remember his gaze to this day.
~ You start the day as one person , and end it as someone totally different .One of life's startling moments.
A totally unexpected ending to a day in your life.
Can ya still see it ?AAH get it off me....
